Handball friends, A year has gone by, and taking advantage of your summer holidays, we would like to invite you, to participate in our new edition of the International Handball Tournament, "Town Fair" Trophy, that will be held in Sant Esteve Sesrovires. This Tournament, that coincides with the traditional and popular summer festivities of our cheery and hospitable town, is an absolute Handball festival, held in an exceptional environment. We have preparing many different activities and complementary functions for this new edition, that will make these days unforgettable. The Organizing Committee THE FUN AND BUSTLE OF POPULAR FESTIVALS.- Once a year a very twon and city in Catalonia celebrates its Grand Festival. The streets fill with merrymakers who are only too glad to let strangers join in the fun. Many places keep up traditional customs of ancien origin. By joining in the fun at one of our festivals, you´ll get to know us better. On the outside we many seem a little reserved, bup deep down the Catalans are friendly people who enjoy a little merrymaking and like to make their visitors welcome, as befits a Mediterranean people.

OTHER INFORMATIONS REFEREES: Those who would like to participate in the Tournament, must contact the Organizing Committee before the 20th. of May 2008. The accommodation and meals for these guests will be provided by the Committee. Every Club participant in the tournament, can bring a referees with them invited by the Organization. TRANSPORT: The teams that need transport during the Tournament (to and from the Airport, to matches, for tours, ...) must contact the Organizing Committee, for the information about the cost of such services. AIRPORT: Sant Esteve Sesrovires is situated 28 km. from the Barcelona International Airport. PRIZES: Trophies and gifts will be given to all the participating teams and referees. TOURNAMENT PROGRAMME: Opening Ceremony: Friday 18th. July 2008 (21:30 hrs.). Parade, introduce teams, fireworks, dancing, ... Competition: From the 19th. to 22th. of July 2008. Closing Ceremony: Tuesday 22th. of July 2008 (17:00 to 22:00 hrs.). Final matches and giving out of prizes. Playing sites: Sport pavilions and open air courts. Duration of matches: 15+15 minutes. Number of matches: Each team will play from 5 to 8 matches during the Tournament TOURISTIC VISITS: We organizer your optionals touristic visits: Barcelona city, sacred mountain of "Montserrat", beaches of Sitges and Vilanova, Amusement Park "Port Aventura", wines and champagnes from our village and country, ... ACCOMMODATION: For the teams that needs to advance their arrival or prolong their departure, the Organizing Committee can reserved your lodging in our village. SANT ESTEVE SESROVIRES ( www.sesrovires.net ): With a population of 7.000 people, this number increases to 14.000 in summer and on weekends due to the role it plays as a second residence. It offers a wide range of sporting and leisure activitie such as golf, tennis, swimming, horse-riding, ... Sant Esteve Sesrovires is well located. It´s situated only 5 km. away from Mediterranean Highway and only 30 km. from Barcelona´s city center. It´s also very close to Martorell, that is only 7 km. away. Montserrat, the sacred mountain, and many well-known beaches such as Sitges and Vilanova, are only 35 km. away from our village. "Port Aventura" the famous amusement park, is situated 85 km. away. There is also a railway station. Our twon is situated on the border of the wine region know as "Penedès", famous for its wines and cavas (champagne), and the industrial region known as "Baix Llobregat". "Bach" wines and "Roger Goulart" cava are two well-known products made in Sant Esteve Sesrovires. "Chupa Chups", the famous sweet factory is also found here, as well as part of the new "Seat-Volkswagen" factory.
